NEWS FLASH
Wimbledon Robert Heath Heating Dons took to the track at Sittingbourne to take on the Crusaders in a Conference League fixture. A Great crowd of Wimbledon Supporters made the trip to see the Dons pull of a great Victory. This meeting saw old Plough Lane favourites take to the track against the current Wimbledon Team. It was fantastic to see Chris Hunt, Andre Cross and Mark Baseby now crusaders once again. Andre came back into the sittingbourne team on sunday after having a week or two on the sideline with some very bad bruising to himself and bike damage after a crash at Oxford earlier in the month. Andre was put in the very hard position of riding at number 1 due to Sittingbourne currently losing the services of David McAllen. However Andre did well and managed to score a creditable 3 points. It was very nice to see the Wimbledon Crowd cheering Chris, Andre and Mark on in a match that was really only going one way. Sittingbourne put up a really good fight and Jordan Frampton and Shane Colvin really gave the Dons some challenges.
It was a very pleasent day out at Sittingbourne Speedway and I for one will hopefully be vitising there again during the season.
Although Andre is currently riding for the crusaders I would like to announce that Andre Cross's Racing Team Fan Club is STILL running, thank to Shannon we well be able to continue. Andre Cross is currently riding for the Sitingbourne crusaders in the 2005 season.
Once I have a bit more information I will be able to update this website a bit more.
More information will follow shortly.
Last Thursday Andre was riding for sittingbourne against Oxford when in heat 10 he fell and ended up going to hospital to be on the safe side. Hopefully I will receive some more information within the next week.
